Verify a credential
Verifying is picking a verification profile and showing the holder a QR code. LutraID validates the presentation and hands you the claims.
Before you start
You need a verifier with at least one verification profile assigned. Profiles are assigned from the verifier's detail page — see Create a verification template.
Steps
- Verify → pick a verifier and verification profile. The profile decides which credentials are requested and which claims are asked for.
- Choose delivery — show the QR in the dashboard, or email the request.
- The holder scans, chooses what to disclose, and their wallet responds.
Reading the result
The session updates in place: waiting for wallet → success, failed or expired. On success you see the credential type and the validated claims; on failure you see the reason.
A request is valid for 15 minutes, or 60 minutes when it was emailed.
A verifier only ever receives the claims the profile asked for and the holder agreed to release. See Selective disclosure.
