EUDI

The European Digital Identity (EUDI) framework lets people across the EU hold and present official credentials from a wallet on their own device, using open standards that any issuer or verifier can implement.

The shape of it

Every member state must offer its citizens a wallet, and both public bodies and large private services must accept it. What the wallet holds is credentials: signed statements issued by whoever is authoritative for them.

The holder decides	What is disclosed, to whom, each time
The verifier checks a signature	Not a database, and not the issuer
The issuer is not told	Where or when the credential is used

That last property is the point of the design. A verifier confirms a claim without the issuer learning anything about the transaction.
